RHL is a non-profit remembrance fan site that has no affiliation with Heath Ledger whatsoever. We tend to make no profit off of his name or trademark. The sole purpose of this website is to keep Heath's spirit alive way beyond his death and be a place where all fans can gather to keep his memory alive.
I have been a fan of Heath for a very long long time, ever since I first saw The Patriot. I was little when I saw the movie, but I remember being so drawn to the film b/c I loved historical stuff. I remember seeing him for the first time, all decked out in his revolutionary war costume, oh how handsome and charming he was! Ever since that, I was taken by him and grew up watching his movies. Some of my favorites of his are 10 Things I Hate About You, A Knight's Tale, The Patriot, Casanova, The Brothers Grimm, The Dark Knight, & etc. On January 22, 2008 sometime in the late afternoon, I was on my dad's computer browsing the news when I stumbled on the news article on the yahoo homepage "Heath Ledger Dead". At first I didn't believe it, it couldn't be true! I clicked the article and read it -- Heath Ledger was infact found dead in NY. I remember when I read that, my heart sank, I didn't want it to be true. I ran into the living room to tell my mom and sister, they too couldn't believe it. For 10 long months, I couldn't watch his movies because it was too sad for me b/c I felt like I grew up watching him perform and mature with such great roles on the screen an all the sudden he was gone unexpectedly. His death is the only celebrity one that really bothered me but eventually I gained up the courage to watch his movies again an I still watch them to this very day -- yes still it is a bit sad watching him knowing he is no longer here. In January 2011, my mom mentioned the idea to me, why not make a site for him since I liked his movies. Then a light bulb went off in my head -- why not, I'm a big fan & adore him. So I went domain browsing to see what was available, astounded that I was, heath-ledger.org was available. I was very shocked since it was a very good domain, so I snatched it up an a year later on the 4th anniversary of Heath's passing, I opened Remembering Heath Ledger to the public.
